Do I need council consent to build a deck or pergola?
That depends on the size and height. In New Zealand, most decks under 1.5m high don’t require building consent — but anything more complex, like covered areas or attached structures, may need approval. We’ll let you know what’s required and can handle the consent process for you.
What decking materials do you recommend?
We build with a range of materials, including treated pine, hardwoods, and composite decking. We’ll help you choose what best suits your style, budget, and how much maintenance you're willing to take on.
Can you build pergolas or roofed outdoor spaces?

Timeframes vary depending on the size and complexity of your project, but most decks take 1–3 weeks to complete. We’ll give you a realistic timeline when we quote your job and keep you in the loop as we go.
